well i know many wouldnt agree with me ..but its true hip-hop aint music!i mean what kind of music is fancy words with absolutely no meaning?Music is meant to set ur mind,body and soul free..its something that's got the power to lift you up ..power to seduce you..and not something to do with wearing expensive jewellery and crap(or rap..whatever!)Clapton,Hendrix,Satriani,
Rahman,Knopfler,Zappa and the list of such brilliant artists goes on.They make music,music in the right sense..beautiful words and very intricately carved tunes and rhythms.50 cent,lil-bow-wow,nelly,blah blah ...in the name of music ..fake it!Diamonds,pearls and what not ..glittering all over their naked bodies..and they....CRAP..all that jazz to CRAP!!!!I understand its personal preference but sometimes the media(ahem..MTV)..guide you the wrong way..you end up listening to stuff like gay boys(backstreet boys...oooo),the very hyped J-lo,britney(yucck).So next time you want to listen to some gooooood stuff...turn on VH1 (and thy shall be blessed with music for thy soul).................

hip hop sucks.. its more like "wanna be" music, or rather .. just a "wanna be" .. blah!
true music are the ones who do it for the love of it, bob marley, beck, kiss, deep purple, names go on....
and dese sick ones screw up the face of true music...
darn' em.. but i aint moved one bit, i still love the good ol' 60's and 70's ... they rule!!

perhaps the answer to your thought and expression over hip hop music may be right to u.but the defenition of music as a global phenominen...is far wide and transcends...allowing music to be born,evolve,change and mix up.so hip hop may be just a part of the world of rythem n music!....just a bit of exploration and understanding may help....but hehehe in the end i get bugged with hip hop- too sometimes
